OCTOBER OUTREACH & ORDINATION RECAP | Our October homeless outreach in San Bernardino Oct. 15 included an ordination ceremony and celebration.
After four years of seminary and 27 years of serving in the ministry, Tony is now officially an ordained pastor.
Officiating over the ceremony were Pastors Jason and Yvonne Lewallen of Selah Christian Fellowship, Pastor Fletch Birge of the Gideons and, via telephone, Pastor Todd Hammond of Agape Church of the Brethren in Indiana.
Pastor Hammond started us on our ministry journey more than 25 years ago, officiated over our wedding ceremony, and through the years has faithfully served as our mentor and our beloved friend.
Following the ordination ceremony and vows, we ministered together to those living in and around Wildwood Park. Everyone was covered in prayer and the love of Jesus. We also distributed hygiene kits, water, food cards, socks, blankets, first-aid supplies and bibles.
Thank you all for your support through our years of ministry, your encouragement as Tony completed seminary, and your faithful prayers and presence in our lives. We ask that you pray now for God’s provision, presence and guidance as we move forward in His calling on our lives. We also ask that you pray that the Lord send more helpers to this ministry, for the needs are great but so are the opportunities to share Christ and His gospel of peace and salvation.
Our special thanks also go to Jason and Yvonne, Todd, Fletch and Cheryl, Skip, Alden, Joshua, Jonas, Jerry and Blandine, and JP and Jessica for supporting us on this milestone day as we step out in greater faith toward what the Lord has for us to do.
We praise Him who is forever faithful!
Blessings to you all,
Tony and Koren
