APRIL PRISON OUTREACH | Even though half the camp was away fighting the Bridge Fire near Bishop, Calif., seven men still joined us April 20 for an Easter Celebration at Pilot Rock Prison Camp. We gathered on the lawn, shared music, scripture, a message of hope and communion.
It was a very special time together, and these brothers are hungry for the Word of God. They have joined together to hold their own Bible studies during the week and devour the devotional materials we deliver to them. They face challenges as new and growing Christians, particularly in the prison system, but eagerly pray for each other, the church as a whole and the unsaved among them.
The men received pocket-sized Gideon Bibles, Our Daily Bread devotionals, The Hope of Easter devotional and a box of treats to stuff their pockets.
Please keep the men of Pilot Rock in your prayers, as most will be fighting fire throughout this fire season. Pray that they will be shining lights to the others in the camp as they grow in their faith.
We praise our Lord for the good work He is doing in the church at Pilot Rock. We also thank our faithful volunteers—Josh, Koren and Leslie—and our generous supporters: The Gideon Lake Arrowhead Camp, Trust One Components, Rita Beasley (thank you for all the great snacks you provide for the men of Pilot Rock), and all the mountain area churches who continually keep this ministry in prayer.
Prayer requests collected on April 20 are up on our Facebook page. Thank you for your prayers!
In Christ’s Love,
